, it's here. usually means snow on the slopes. in fact 28 inches of snow fell in the sierra nevada friday and saturday. alpine meadows reported 19 inches of snow at its base. squaw valley reported 17 to 24 inches. those skiers and snowboarders already took advantage of it, enjoying the slopes under sunny skies. this is at wrightwood, but boreal is another one of two resorts open in california. it's reporting 14 to 18 inches of snow. the other, mammoth mountain, north star and heavenly will open on friday. >> not a skier myself or snowboarder -- >> maybe this is your year. >> but looks like ideal conditions. maybe not this year. it's not my thing. but christina loren, i loved it earlier today when you said frosty the windshield was on the way. >> he has arrived early, ahead of schedule this year. i'd like to see you on say sled, jon kelley, or a tire. we're looking good out there. speaking of heavenly, our sunrise this morning is spectacular. 65 degrees at 4:00 p.m. inland, 63 bayside and 63 at the coast. if you're looking for warmer days, we've got them just around the corner. your
